Dr Vijay Khandelwal is Associate Director of Advanced enterprise Information Management Systems Research Group, and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing & IT at the University of Western Sydney. He obtained his PhD from the University of New South Wales, and is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.
Dr. Khandelwal is best known for his numerous empirical studies on Critical Success Factors in IT management, and on the deployment of Information and Communication Technology in organisations. His other research interests include E-transformation of SMEs, Global IT management, Process Reengineering in Healthcare, and Knowledge Management in Law Firms. Several of his research papers have received special commendation, including a best paper award. He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Information Technology Cases and Applications, and a member of Growing Regional Opportunities for Work (GROW) IT Reference Group.
Dr Khandelwal teaches undergraduate and postgraduate course in the area of E-Transformation, Business Process Modelling and IT Management.
Before joining the University of Western Sydney Dr Khandelwal worked for IBM in IT strategy consulting activities in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, India, and Russia for over 25 years.
